IA-FraMCoS created in 2012 a Young Researcher Best Paper Award. This award is granted at each FraMCoS conference to one or more best papers authored by a research scientist under 40 of age. While the paper may be co-authored with senior colleagues, the young researcher must be the first author and should be presenting it at the conference (if the accepted abstract has been submitted with a different ordering of the authors, this can still be modified upon submission of the full paper so that the award application is eligible).
The award selection panel will be chaired by the President-Elect, who will appoint additional members (with a minimum of 2 from the Advisory Board) to help him/her conduct the evaluations.
The Board of Directors of the International Association for Fracture Mechanics of Concrete and Concrete Structures (Ia-FraMCoS) have agreed to provide international travel support to about forty young researchers to the tune of 800 US Dollars fulfilling the following eligibility criteria:
The members of the board of directors of IA-FraMCoS will select from amongst the eligible candidates based on their academic credentials and paper submission.
